At present, the FhG maintains more than 80 research units in Germany, including 66 Fraunhofer Institutes. The Fraunhofer Microelectronics Alliance VμE coordinates the activities of the eleven Fraunhofer institutes working with about 3,000 people in the fields of micro and nano-electronics.
